There's a brand-new cocktail bar in town. The new arrival to Echo Park, called Lowboy, is located at 1540 Sunset Blvd.
The fresh addition comes courtesy of partners Michael Francesconi and Matthew Glaser, Eater LA reports, the same duo behind Little Tokyo's Wolf & Crane.
A variety of both classic and signature drinks are on offer, from Mai Tais and Palomas to The Lowboy Special — a Coors Banquet "Stubby," complete with a shot of Old Grand Dad bourbon. Draft beer and non-alcoholic offerings are also on hand, as well as bar snacks such as burgers and weiner rolls.
With a 4.5-star rating out of 32 reviews on Yelp so far, the new cocktail bar has already made a good impression.
Ron F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 3, wrote, "It's a full bar with a short, but sweet food menu. Seven cocktails on the menu, plus a special on the board. The bartenders are very talented and they can make most anything else you want. The Mai Tai and Paloma were swell."
"Lowboy is an excellent addition to Echo Park," added Yelper Abel S. "The space itself is very inviting, which gives you a sense of community. I'm especially a fan of the booths. ... The cocktail and light food menu has something for everyone."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Lowboy is open from 5 p.m.–2 a.m. nightly.
