A new karate, kickboxing and self-defense class spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. The new addition, called Antaks Kenpo Karate, is located at 4151 Ming Ave.

Antaks Kenpo Karate has programs for kids and adults alike. According to the business' website, the instruction is influenced by disciplines like American Kenpo, Chinese Kenpo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The spot also has an Anti-Bully Proof program which gives kids the tools to become self-confident while also learning self-defense. A Women's Self-Defense program is offered as well.

Antaks Kenpo Karate has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Destiny V. wrote, “Mr. Antak is one of the best instructors we have come across. He teaches kids all sorts of things, not just karate. He teaches them self respect, discipline and determination to name a few. I've seen a change in my daughter's attitude."

And Alex B. added, "This, in my opinion, is the best school out there. Mr. Antak has been in the art for over 40 years and knows what he's doing. If you're looking for self-discipline, confidence, courage and self-defense, this is the place."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Antaks Kenpo Karate is open from 3:30 p.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday. (It's closed on Friday-Sunday.)
