
New York-based health care company Healthify has secured $16 million in Series B funding, according to company database Crunchbase, topping the city’s recent funding headlines. The cash infusion was announced Nov. 4.
According to its Crunchbase profile, "Healthify’s SaaS platform helps managed care plans address the social needs in their population to reduce costs, boost quality metrics and improve case management."
The six-year-old company has raised four previous funding rounds, including a $6.5 million Series A round in 2017.
The round brings total funding raised by New York companies in health care over the past month to $486 million, an increase of $195 million from the month before. The local health care industry has produced 211 funding rounds over the past year, raking in a total of $3.2 billion in venture funding.
In other local funding news, cosmetics and brand marketing company ZitSticka announced a $5 million Series A funding round on Oct. 15, led by Boulder Food Group.
According to Crunchbase, "ZitSticka is an evidence-based skin care brand focused squarely on acne treatments that target every unique stage of a zit's life cycle. ZitSticka's debut product, the KILLA patch, contains dermatologically backed ingredients and is layered with self-dissolving microdarts that disrupt the progression of upcoming, early-stage zits."
The company also raised a seed round in 2018.
Meanwhile, catering company Junzi Kitchen raised $5 million in seed funding, announced on Nov. 4. The round's investors were led by LDR Ventures.
