According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the LAPD's West Traffic detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic collision. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived promptly to render aid, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet Corvette sped away, abandoning their responsibility to provide assistance or identify themselves.
