Swiftly acting Glendale Police Department (GPD) officers have apprehended four individuals accused of executing a string of commercial burglaries in Glendale, California yesterday, September 28. In a series of alarms triggered across various business establishments, the law enforcement agents had managed to quickly surge towards each location with accuracy and coordination that illustrated the voracious determination representative of the city's guardians.
According to the City of Glendale News, officers first responded to a burglar alarm at around 3:00 a.m. at the 400 block of S. Glendale Ave. Within minutes, a second alarm alerted officials to a similar situation at the 1100 block of S. Glendale Ave., leading them to identify these incidents as part of a burglary series. With keen awareness, the officers' collective vigilance proactively observed commercial districts and successfully captured the suspects in the midst of another attempted break-in on W. Glenoaks Blvd.
The remarkable teamwork by Glendale Police Officers led to the arrest of 24-year-old Steven Cuevas of Los Angeles, 21-year-old Carlos Madrid of Long Beach, and two juvenile suspects. A search of their vehicle reportedly revealed an array of burglary tools, including gloves, ski masks, a reciprocating saw, and thousands of dollars in cash, establishing their connection to the series of crimes. The suspects now face charges of felony burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, and conspiracy.
