Yesterday, officers from the Petaluma Police Department Community Impact Response Team (CIRT) uncovered a loaded and unregistered concealed firearm in the possession of three individuals. According to a press release issued by the Petaluma Police, the incident occurred around 7:10 PM at the intersection of Jaquelyn Lane and Jade Street. The suspects in question – Jacob Vigil, Rico Hermosillo-Lozano, and Christian Comacho – are all Santa Rosa residents aged between 19 and 20 years old.

During a routine patrol, CIRT officers spotted a suspicious vehicle and its passengers, near which they subsequently initiated contact. One of the vehicle's occupants, it was discovered, had a previous arrest for unlawful firearm possession. After an interview, the officers were granted consent to search the vehicle. What they found inside was much more than a simple unregistered firearm. Upon closer inspection, the weapon was found to be equipped with a high-capacity magazine containing armor-piercing rounds.

The trio was arrested on charges of firearm possession, alongside illegally possessing a high-capacity magazine and armor-piercing ammo. All three suspects were transported and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
