In San Bernardino, a local laundromat faced its share of chaos as it became the target of a string of burglaries. According to CBS News, over the past several weeks, San Bernardino Coin Wash endured at least three separate instances of theft perpetrated by the same group of suspects. The San Bernardino Police Department (SBPD) has arrested two out of three suspects responsible for the laundromat burglaries.
Surveillance footage, shared by the SBPD on social media, painted a vivid picture of the burglars wielding a sledgehammer, pry bar, and power saw as they broke into the laundromat facilities. Their forceful entry caused over $20,000 in damage, not including the cash and items stolen from the office on the premises. With clear evidence of the crimes and the involvement of the public, the police were able to identify two of the suspects, both of whom are now in custody on felony charges.
Detectives conducted a lengthy investigation into the burglaries, leading to the execution of a search warrant. Within the premises searched, they found items linking the suspects to the crimes at the San Bernardino Coin Wash, as reported on Facebook. One of the arrested suspects was found to have a prior felony conviction.
