On Monday, September 25, a tragic incident took place in Rancho Cucamonga, where a 41-year-old man lost his life in a fatal hit-and-run accident. According to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, the victim was a resident of San Bernardino and was found dead on the west dirt shoulder of Etiwanda Avenue, between Sixth Street and Napa Street.
The authorities received a call at 7:37 a.m., reporting a man down in the vicinity, and upon arrival, they discovered the deceased male. During their investigation, they uncovered that the man had walked north on Etiwanda Avenue and was struck by a vehicle sometime between the evening of Sunday, September 24, and earlier hours of Monday, September 25. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed, as the next of kin are still being notified.
In the wake of such a tragedy, the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station's Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) has been closely examining the incident, tirelessly working to find the person or persons responsible. As of now, the suspect(s) remains unknown which only further deepens the sense of mystery and turmoil surrounding the fatal occurrence.
