On Tuesday, October 3, Victorville Police Department apprehended Pharoah Haywood, a 40-year-old man from Southern California, for an assault with a deadly weapon. As per the report from the Victorville Sheriff-Coroner Department, Haywood had attacked a 20-year-old Victorville resident with a metal pipe, causing a laceration on his forehead.
The incident occurred that day at approximately 4:32 pm. Deputies, responding to calls from a home on the 16600 block of D Street, discovered injured victim. Witnesses at the scene told officials when Haywood has assaulted the victim, he subsequently fled.
An official statement mentioned that deputies found Haywood, along with a knife, near the intersection of D Street and Sixth Street later that evening, around 8:30 pm. He was promptly apprehended for investigation.
