On Saturday, October 14, a scene of violence unfolded near Vons Market in Manhattan Beach, where a man allegedly shot his female partner. As per the Manhattan Beach Police Department press release, the incident resulted from to an argument escalating to a dangerous level.
Officers arriving at the crime scene arranged for the transport of the injured woman to Harbor General Hospital. Following surgery, her condition has stabilized. The Manhattan Beach community is dealing with the aftermath of this violent act that occurred in their usually peaceful neighborhood.
The accused, 21-year-old Ahmyae Uriah Barner from Long Beach, has been charged with attempted murder, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department press release. The police are actively investigating this crime and Detective Seth Hartnell, with his team, are appealing to the public to share any information related to the case.
