A disturbing incident occurred at Los Osos High School, Rancho Cucamonga, where a 16-year-old JV football player was assaulted in a chokehold and whipped by two varsity players. A video of this incident surfaced on social media, as reported by OC Register.

The victim's parents, struggling with the incident's content, expressed their concern about the lack of supervision while their son was enduring the traumatic ordeal. They questioned the identity of the high school students and why there were no supervisors present, according to CBS News.

The same high school experienced an incident where a former football coach was convicted on felony charges for secretly photographing minors.

The victim's parents expressed their dissatisfaction with actions taken by the school, feeling it was dismissed as "horseplay." They felt the safety of their child was at risk.

The parents argued that the Chaffey Joint Union High School District mishandled the case and justice has yet to be found for their child. In response to the increasing outrage, Superintendent Matthew Holton agreed the incident qualifies as hazing, a CBS News report indicates.
