
On Thursday, October 19, San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported that law enforcement officers made a significant illegal drug trade discovery in a Joshua Tree neighborhood residence. The suspect, 55-year-old convicted felon Hector Hernandez, was arrested in connection to the illegal activity, as mentioned by San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
The Morongo Basin's Multiple Enforcement Team (MET), executing a search warrant at the suspect's home, found a wealth of methamphetamine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, items linked to narcotics sales and cash. The consequences such substances hold over communities, families, and individuals was underscored by the size of the find according to the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Department.
On the back of numerous losses since the Drug Enforcement Administration was launched in 1973, efforts to provide resources to those affected by drug addiction have seen progress.
