
On Wednesday, October 4, an unordinary traffic collision occurred in the typical calm community of Big Bear Lake. A deputy from the Big Bear Sheriffs Department was en route to a priority call when the patrol vehicle was hit by a 2018 Ford Mustang around 12:17 p.m, as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner's Department.
The accident forced the temporary closure of major roads - Big Bear Boulevard and Moonridge Road causing inconvenience for locals and travelers. The report further stated that those involved in the crash endured varied levels of injury, and some victims were hospitalized per the official report. The deputy involved in the crash remains in the hospital in stable condition while two Mustang passengers also suffered injuries, one of which remains hospitalized.
