Recent events have put the spotlight on drug dealing by street vendors in Santa Rosa. Yesterday, we reported on the arrests of local street vendors caught selling cocaine and methamphetamine, per the Santa Rosa Police. These sellers allegedly weaved their illegal activities into their legitimate businesses, selling ice cream and chicharrónes to families and children.

The SRPD Narcotics Team's investigation placed a dealer, Victor Martinez-Diaz, primarily at W. 9th St, near Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. Using a tricycle with storage containers and coolers, he was able to sell both legal and illegal products. Jose Cazares and Marcos Ambrosio-Cortes, two additional suspects, were found with illicit substances, a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, and pay/owe sheets.

Both suspects, in their twenties, reportedly used street vendor bikes and a white van for their suspected criminal acts.
