On October 10, officer Balhotra pulled over 62-year-old Milton O'Neill at a motel on Central Way for driving without a license and the need to tow his vehicle. This information is confirmed by the Fairfield Police Department's Facebook page.
O'Neill's situation quickly escalated when he alerted the officers to the presence of methamphetamine in his car. The subsequent search led to the seizure of 27.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 2.1 grams of suspected cocaine, and 1.3 grams of suspected heroin from the vehicle. As officers began the arrest, O'Neill experienced a medical emergency, forcing a shift in priorities.
Due to his medical situation, O'Neill was rushed to a local hospital for urgent care. After receiving the necessary treatment and clearance from the hospital, the police were able to continue their investigation and eventually booked O'Neill.
