A man has been detained under charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer and unlawfully conducting traffic stops in East Valinda, near Nogales High School. The suspect was apprehended by deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD), an investigation has since been initiated into these unlawful traffic stops. The LASD has requested the public to report any related information pertaining to the impersonating individual, per their official announcement.

Photographs released by the LASD, also aired by CBS Los Angeles, revealed the unidentified man, dressed in a complete police uniform and positioned near an unofficial police bike. The suspect reportedly possessed paraphernalia such as a bulletproof vest, emergency radio, badge, and a stun gun holster, attempting to convincingly mimic law enforcement.
The LASD is actively investigating the motive behind these illegal traffic stops and reaches out to those who may have been affected by the impersonator. They're urging to those who had interactions with this person to share their accounts to assist in the investigation and measure the consequences of his activities.
