Earlier this month, on October 5, a fatal traffic collision in Rancho Cucamonga resulted in a loss of life that has deeply affected several families. As stated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, the incident took place on Foothill Boulevard, involving two parties: 30-year-old motorcyclist Parker Monticone from Rancho Cucamonga, and 66-year-old Raul Mejia-Hernandez from Los Angeles, who was driving a sedan.
At 11:29 a.m., unexpectedly Monticone's motorcycle ran into Mejia-Hernandez's vehicle which was making a left turn into a shopping center driveway. The collision resulted in severe injuries for Monticone.
The Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department arrived swiftly to administer emergency assistance at the scene. Despite their committed efforts, the severity of Monticone's injuries led to his tragic passing.
Upon the accident's report, the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department promptly responded, dispatching their Major Accident Investigation Team swiftly to the scene.
