Yesterday, a major traffic collision in San Jacinto, involving two vehicles, resulted in a fatality. The incident took place on Ramona Expressway near Warren Road. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second driver was not injured. The accident led to the temporary closure of a portion of the expressway for an investigation.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the fatal collision ensued when the dark-colored SUV, speeding eastbound on the expressway, rear-ended a light-colored minivan leading both vehicles to lose control. The SUV overturned, causing the fatality to the driver. Authorities haven't made the deceased's identity public yet, awaiting to inform the next of kin.
