
A fatal hit-and-run occurred on Petaluma Hill Road, Santa Rosa late yesterday. An unidentified male pedestrian was struck by a car and left to die by the fleeing driver, warranting immediate public assistance in the investigation, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP officials reported receiving alerts around midnight about a pedestrian on the northbound roadway. This was quickly followed by reports of the pedestrian being hit by a car. Emergency services declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.
