In a serious chain of events in Long Beach, police officers are currently investigating a murder that took place in the vicinity of 51st Street and Pacific Avenue. An adult male lost his life after succumbing to gunshot injuries.
He had, prior to his unfortunate demise, self-transported to a local hospital. The reasons behind the shooting, as well as the suspect's identification, are yet to be established. As a consequence of this incident, Long Beach's Homicide detectives were called on the scene to intensify the investigation effort.
The Long Beach Police Department's Neighborhood Safety Bike Team will be frequenting the area over the next two days in order to mend relations with, and to interact with, the community. An LBPD statement indicated intent to release a more extensive report, shortly.
