On Saturday, September 30 a fatal traffic collision involving 74-year-old Charles Dishong of Tarzana occurred in Ventura County. According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, the accident took place on Westlake Boulevard, where Dishong's vehicle hit an embankment and overturned around 3:03 a.m. Despite Ventura County Fire Department's rescue efforts, Dishong was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Thousand Oaks Police Department is to investigate the cause of the accident, the original report suggesting that Dishong's vehicle had left the road while travelling southbound on Westlake Boulevard, consequently hitting the embankment and flipping into the northbound lane.
