Fillmore resident J Ines Robles, 53, has been arrested and charged with two counts of prowling. Both reportedly recorded on RING camera footage, confirmed by The Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
The Fillmore Police Department had mentioned the receipt of reports of prowling in the 900 block of Wileman Street on July 20 and October 11. Fillmore detectives and patrol deputies pursued leads related to the crimes after these reports, and this resulted in a news release on October 17. They asked for community assistance and shared images of the suspect from the RING camera footage.
A local resident recognized the suspect on Tuesday, October 24, after viewing the shared photographs. Fillmore detectives followed up on this lead and located Robles in the 200 block of A Street in Fillmore. The detectives interviewed Robles and found more incriminating evidence that led to his identification as the suspect in both prowling incidents.
