Yesterday, a structure fire erupted on the third floor of an apartment building in Los Angeles' Palms neighborhood. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that a team of 48 firefighters were able to completely extinguish the fire in just 18 minutes after their arrival. The fire had been contained to one top-floor apartment, primarily in an area of excessive personal storage. The apartment building itself comprises 80 units within its 53,762 square feet and was built in 1968. No injuries were reported, and the investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing according to LAFD.
