Yesterday, LAPD's Van Nuys Division detained four individuals linked with illegal activities including, but not limited to, narcotics and firearm possession. The case began with a call of shots fired at a house already under surveillance by the Van Nuys NED, pending a Search Warrant execution with the DEA and Major Crimes, as mentioned on LAPD Van Nuys Division Facebook post.
Upon reaching the crime scene at 9400 Valjean, RD 1777, two white females and two white males were detained. The officers on site discovered narcotics and firearms readily visible during a preliminary sweep, to quickly serve and execute the Search Warrant in an accelerated process. The residence was previously on the radar of the Van Nuys NED for illicit activities.
The comprehensive search led to them recovering more narcotics, several firearms, two stolen trailers, three stolen vehicles, and potentially a stolen motorcycle. They also found a Ford F250 Roush Edition pickup involved in a trailer theft with a counterfeit dealer plate. With the accumulating evidence, Major Crimes and TRAP collaboratively joined the investigation with the Van Nuys NED.
The four detainees have been officially booked on charges including warrants, conspiracy to commit narcotics trafficking, and ex-convict in possession of firearms. The apprehension signifies a small victory in an ongoing battle against the rampant narcotics-related crimes in the area, indicating the persistent work required in mitigating such threats.
Although today, will not be remembered as a turning point in narcotics and crime enforcement, it highlights the value of persistent enforcement efforts and cooperative undertakings in achieving effective results.
