Fairfield High School officials and Fairfield School Resource Officers (SROs) intervened in a potentially dangerous situation yesterday. They discovered and confiscated a loaded Glock pistol from a male student, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
The loaded weapon was found during a search for a missing phone around 12:02 p.m. Quickly, the SROs were notified by the school administration with no spare moment of delay. Fortunately, no additional weapons were found during the search.
Due to the swift response of Fairfield High administration and the SROs, the student was apprehended without incident. He was subsequently transported to Solano County Juvenile Hall Detention Facility on charges related to weapon possession.
