The LAPD Newsroom reports that Carver was last seen on Tuesday, October 10, at about 7:30 p.m., around Olympic Boulevard and Masselin Avenue.
Detectives think that Carver may have removed his electronic monitoring device before heading towards San Vicente Boulevard and Sierra Bonita Avenue, perhaps on foot. Carver also uses the names Scott Carver and Michael Meadows. Authorities warn that Carver is likely armed, dangerous, and urge the public to stay alert. Should you spot John, you are advised to call 911 or your local law enforcement agency right away.
The LAPD's plea for help is circling in the midst of increasing doubts about the effectiveness of the programs aimed at reintegrating sex offenders back into society.
