Earlier today, a fire consumed an unoccupied two-story house undergoing construction at 1547 N Sierra Bonita Av in Hollywood. Employing defensive operations, the LAFD swiftly responded to the greater alarm structure fire, which threatened adjacent structures, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
An update from the LAFD indicated that 69 firefighters participated in the defensive firefighting operations. Their united action successfully halted the flames from reaching other structures located along three sides of the burning building. No injuries were reported during the initial response effort, as per the same source.
LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey revealed in a subsequent announcement that it took the team 65 minutes to suppress the fire. They employed heavy equipment, which included bulldozers and excavators, for lifting and shifting the extensive debris caused by the fire. The operation continued into the morning and was extinguished by 5:43 a.m.
