The Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) responded early yesterday to a distress call reporting a person menacing residents with a knife, before barricading themselves in a home in the 700 block of California Street.
A multi-agency response involving SWAT and the Crisis Negotiation Team was deployed, along with the use of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and a K9 officer by the name of Knight, as per Huntington Beach Police Department's Facebook Post
This methodical approach led to the perpetrator eventually surrendering without any harm to the residents.
