Earlier this week on October 23, a small business in Jurupa Valley fell victim to an armed robbery. Three suspects stole cash and tobacco products after brandishing a handgun. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the suspects fled the scene in a black Jeep. Jurupa Valley Station investigators swiftly identified and located one of the suspects in the City of Ontario.

During a high-risk enforcement stop, the occupants of the suspect's vehicle were detained. A search warrant, subsequently served at a residence on Eagle Creek Place, led to the discovery of two additional suspects. In addition to the stolen goods, four firearms were found at the scene. The suspects, 18-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident Tommy Rojas, 19-year-old Pomona resident Umar Syed, and a 17-year-old male juvenile, were charged with robbery, conspiracy, and possession of weapons, reported the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

To further ensure community safety, law enforcement advises business owners and residents to report any suspicious activity. Reports can be made to the Sheriff's Dispatch or, in cases of emergency, by calling 911. Alternatively, reports can also be made through the We-Tip Crime Reporting Hotline.
