Yesterday, Lake Elsinore community in Riverside County was alarmed by a residential burglary. The Riverside County Sheriff's report stated the incident occurred at 7:15 a.m., with two suspects spotted breaking into a property.
To quickly respond, the Sheriff's department and the Riverside County Sheriff's Special Enforcement K9 team quickly set a perimeter to run and located the suspects. These individuals, identified as Jose Carrillo and Frank Garcia, both Lake Elsinore residents. Such incidents underscore the potential for harm in our own neighborhoods.
No further altercation occurred, with the suspects found in the garage and detained without any incident. Carrillo and Garcia, charged with residential burglary and conspiracy, were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. An ongoing investigation process continues, with law enforcement seeking additional information.
Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station has urged the public's aid, encouraging reports of any criminal activity. This approach fosters "Community Policing," a collaboration between law enforcement and community members. As per Riverside County Sheriff's press release, they invited business owners and residents to submit reports of criminal activities to Sheriff's Dispatch or call 911 during emergencies.
