Half a decade ago, the life of 57-year-old Frederick Taft ended tragically when he was murdered. The unsolved case remains a priority for the Long Beach Police Department, and the authorities are intent on delivering justice. In a recent Long Beach PD Facebook post, they call on the public to provide any possible leads relating to Taft's murder.
An unresolved question hangs over the murder motive, with new leads prompting renewed appeals for help. Taft was fatally shot in a restroom at Pan American Park back on July 21, 2018. The perpetrator escaped the scene undetected. According to Long Beach police, initial reports suggested the suspect was a white male in his 50s. However, more recent findings indicate the suspect is a Hispanic man in his 20s, last seen in a blue minivan fleeing the scene.
