Yesterday, at 10:59 a.m., a fire broke out in a house in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) swiftly responded to the scene, managing to control the flames within thirty minutes. However, the roof had already suffered substantial fire damage.
While the exact cause of this disastrous fire currently remains unknown, initial investigations suggest the fire started outside before spreading to the attic. 48 LAFD firefighters were dispatched to the scene, successfully extinguishing the fire in just under half an hour, as reported by the LAFD.
Two residents, a teenager and an adult woman, were forced to evacuate due to smoke and the spreading fire. Paramedics assessed both occupants, who then declined further assistance or transport to the hospital. The cause of the fire is under active investigation.
