
Steven Frasher, a 62-year-old Los Angeles County Public Works employee, was arrested on charges of producing, possessing, and distributing child pornography. They executed a search warrant at his residence in Redlands, California, on receiving an online tip that led to the discovery of illicit material, as ABC7 reports.
Among Frasher's belongings, law enforcement agents found multiple electronic devices with images of child sexual abuse. He was subsequently booked into a local jail where he's awaiting his court date. The Los Angeles County Public Works Department has confirmed Frasher's employment but refrained from commenting further as per KTLA News.
In the past, Frasher worked in various public service positions. He served as a public information officer for Los Angeles County and held similar roles with Riverside City and Glendale Unified School District according to KTLA News. He also ran to represent Redlands City Council District 4 in 2020, but didn't win the election.
The San Bernardino Police Department continues to investigate, with detectives planning to perform a forensic examination of all electronic devices seized from Frasher. He currently remains in the San Bernardino County Central Detention Center, his bail set at $30,000 as reported by KTLA News.
