Yesterday, a fire erupted at a residential property in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. The structure, a two-story residence above a garage, was engulfed swiftly, attracting the response of over 30 firefighters as stated by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Despite the fierce fire, firefighting personnel managed to douse the flames in 12 short minutes.
The public was informed of the fire through a 7:30 p.m. dispatch, stating that the garage was heavily engulfed. The immediate aggressive approach by first responders led to the fire being completely stifled by 7:42 PM, according to the LAFD's report. Miraculously, there were no reported injuries despite the magnitude of the fire.
Further investigation revealed that the building was vacant at the time of the fire.
