Yesterday, a fire broke out at 9701 W Yoakum Dr, a three-story hillside home in Beverly Crest, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department rapidly responded, confining the fire to the garage on the home's first floor. Thanks to the efficient efforts of the LAFD, the blaze was extinguished within 34 minutes by a team of 32 firefighters as per LAFD Alert - Knockdown.
The home, built in 1945 and spanning 2,943 square feet, is located on a hillside, providing an additional challenge to the firefighters. The fire originated in the garage, raising concerns for the safety of property and inhabitants. However, the residents were able to safely evacuate, and firefighters were swiftly successful in quelling the flames.
At the moment, the reason behind the blaze is still being investigated. The LAFD will thoroughly inspect the scene, aiming to determine the cause of the fire, and whether any fire safety regulations were breached.
