Yesterday, a situation emerged in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles. Daniel Garcia reportedly attempted a break-in at a Jewish household, while shouting hateful threats, according to LAPD Newsroom.

Garcia is described as a Hispanic male who at the time was wearing only underwear and was attempting to break into a house on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, shouting "Free Palestine" and "Kill Jews, kill Jews." The victims, who are Jewish, were at home and were disrupted from their sleep by Garcia's commotion. One of the victims managed to fend off Garcia until North Hollywood Patrol officers arrived to apprehend him.

After investigation, it was inferred Garcia might have been dealing with mental illnesses. Also assumed is that the victims' religious background triggered his actions. There also seems a probability that the victims and Garcia had previous encounters. Consequently, Garcia was detained at Van Nuys Jail with charges of Stalking and Criminal Threats with a Hate Crime enhancement, his bail being set at $225,000, as stated in the LAPD Newsroom report.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact North Hollywood Detectives at 818-754-8301.
