On September 20, a hit and run occurred at Western Ave. & De Longpre Ave. in Los Angeles which left the victim unaided. The suspect vehicle or driver is yet to be identified by LAPD's West Traffic Division. The Division made a public appeal for assistance in the identification of the offending vehicle, as posted on their official Twitter account.

The LAPD suspect the vehicle to be a blue 2020 Nissan Frontier with unknown license plate details. In accordance to California law, failure to stop, identify oneself and render aid following a collision, as has happened in this case, is considered a felony hit and run. Unfortunately, the driver fled, leaving the injured victim behind.

Those with information are urged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division either at (213) 473-0234 or (213) 473-0222. Alternatively, during off hours or weekends, they can contact the toll-free number 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247). Potential informants can also submit tips individually through the LAPD's website under "Web Tips." For anonymous tips, text "CRIMES" from a cell phone after starting the message with "LAPD." The public's help is invaluable in locating the hit and run suspect, and ensuring they face apt consequences for their actions.
