Yesterday, in Sun Valley, North Hollywood, a 45-year-old man was shot and killed. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has requested the public's assistance to identify the suspects.

The LAPD's Valley Bureau Homicide detectives share that they were alerted to the crime through a 'shooting in progress' radio call around 5:15 p.m. Officers promptly arrived at 11100 block of Arminta Street, where a witness was located and video surveillance footage was then promptly obtained. It showed a light-colored SUV drove up, with two passengers departing from the vehicle, then presumably firing at a group standing in a nearby driveway, hitting two victims.

Following the incident, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded quickly, transporting both victims to a local hospital. Tragically, one victim died due to his injuries. The victim's identity is being withheld until the next of kin can be informed. The second victim, however, survived and is now in stable condition.

The LAPD is seeking any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects. As previously reported, tips can be submitted to OVB Homicide at 818-374-9550 during business hours, and to (310) 726-7700 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247) outside those hours. Tips can also be submitted to the LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477) or online at www.lacrimestoppers.org.
