A recent event in Needles, California epitomizes the ongoing issue of firearm possession in the United States. In a routine traffic stop, deputies discovered a driver who was both in possession of stolen property and a loaded firearm, as per the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The official press release states that on October 26, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department stopped a Ford F250. The driver, 38-year-old Janice Gunther, was not only found driving a stolen vehicle but also carrying a loaded firearm, despite her felon status. This led to her immediate arrest on charges of possession of stolen property and felon in possession of a firearm.
