Yesterday, Orange County marked a significant step in public safety with the commencement of the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) Station 24 rebuild, as indicated by an OCFA Facebook post. This event, being the first station rebuild since 2011, is a crucial development in enhancing emergency services for Mission Viejo's population and neighboring areas.
Noted, the executive team of OCFA, Mission Viejo city council, staff, and the Engine 24 crew graced the event. The new two-story infrastructure, set up to house triple crews with initial reservation for double, mirrors OCFA's ambition for expansion and provision of better services.
Mission Viejo, like other growing communities, has seen significant development in recent years. Hence, the conceptualization of an efficient, updated fire station aims to meet the community’s emerging needs. This new station signifies forward stride, without forgetting Station 24's importance in safeguarding the community since its establishment.
