However, such incidents unfolding in populous areas underscore to maintain awareness and readiness, given the unpredictable nature of fires under strong wind conditions. In this instance, the burning tree started affecting nearby cars, endangering a proximate hotel, and putting considerable life and property at risk.
The Orange County Fire Authority managed to rescue the hotel, extinguishing the fires before they could spread further.
