Just past midnight on Friday, October 20, a reckless driver tragically ended the life of a 63-year-old pedestrian crossing Manchester Avenue in Los Angeles, as mentioned in an official LAPD news release. The perpetrator of the Hit-and-Run accident sped away and remains on the loose. A greater focus on local traffic safety measures is necessary in response to this incident.

The driver did not stop to help the victim, or to face the consequences of their actions. Authorities later found the car— a silver 2019 Kia Optima—abandoned in Inglewood. The LAPD is urging anyone with further details to step forward and contribute to the ongoing hunt for the driver.
