With the swift actions of 29 firefighters, the flames were extinguished within 22 minutes, as stated in a supplementary LAFD update. The occupants of the affected unit, including their dog, escaped without injury. Regrettably, the family's cat did not survive the fire.
Furthermore, a resident from a neighboring unit was injured during the process of evacuation, potentially requiring medical attention stated LAFD. Thanks to the firefighters' prompt response, the fire was restricted to the originating unit, preventing further endangerment of other residents.
