Earlier today, a suspect was detained by Riverside County Sheriff's deputies for driving a stolen truck. The truck contained hidden loaded firearms, as stated in the official report from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. The deputies identified the stolen truck in the unincorporated Cabazon community and orchestrated a traffic enforcement stop.
The suspect, identified as 59-year-old Robert Ruehle, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Follow-up investigations revealed a loaded shotgun and revolver hidden in the truck leading to Ruehle's detainment in the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility under additional weapons charges.
