
San Bernardino County has earned recognition from Inland Empire Magazine as one of the top 300 employers in the Inland region for the second year running. This accolade highlights the county as one of the “Best Places to Work” and recognizes its employment of nearly 22,000 public service professionals, as mentioned by San Bernardino County Website.
Board of Supervisors Chair and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe, acknowledges this honor as an endorsement of the area's focus on enhancing its economic and social landscape. Rowe emphasizes San Bernardino County's vital role in job creation, economic stimulation, and life quality improvement in the community.
In addition, Inland Empire Magazine gives credit to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), a county-managed facility. Ranked as the No. 1 employer in Colton, ARMC houses over 3,800 employees. ARMC Hospital Director William Gilbert cites the importance of fostering a positive work environment to attract and retain highly skilled workers essential to life quality improvement in their region.
The National Association of Counties (NACo) has presented the county with 160 Achievement Awards for their exceptional public service. Notably, ARMC alone was awarded eight of these, demonstrating the significant part it plays in the county's success.
Based on a recent survey by the Center for Digital Government (CDG) and NACo, San Bernardino County now ranks No. 7 among the 50 largest U.S. counties for best technology practices, a climb of three spots from the previous year.
