An Apple Valley Dollar General store was the scene of a crime on Thursday when 46-year-old Richard Fimbres, a San Bernardino resident, allegedly made off with two 30-packs of beer. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department provided details disclosed Fimbres threatened a store employee after she confronted him.
The unnamed 46-year-old employee of Apple Valley managed to, quickly put together video and photographic evidence for the local authorities. Deputy A. Delgado was on the case, beginning an investigation promptly.
Thanks to past encounters with Fimbres, Deputy Delgado recognized him immediately and followed to his house to make the arrest. Once the Apple Valley Police Department's investigation was completed, Fimbres was transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he is held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
While the ABC News recently reported an uptick in alcohol thefts nationwide in correlation with the pandemic, this is one incident demonstrating those stats. With Fimbres arrest, the ongoing matter is currently under prosecution.
