On Tuesday, October 3rd, Julian Garcia, 19, led Rancho Cucamonga deputies in a high-speed chase following a road rage incident where he reportedly brandished a firearm. The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department revealed the pursuit, which saw speeds exceeding 100mph, was eventually discontinued due to escalating velocity and traffic density.
Additional investigation revealed Garcia was already serving probation for felony evasion.
Expanding on his investigation, Deputy Nehls identified Julian Garcia as the driver and the Multiple Enforcement Team on Thursday, October 5th, located Garcia's vehicle in San Bernardino. Garcia failed to yield as per police reports, eventually crashing his vehicle. After a failed escape attempt involving a carjacked vehicle and a collision with a parked car, he was duly taken into custody. This sequence of events underlines the unpredictability and potential danger of road rage incidents.
