A series of accidents unfolded on the streets of San Rafael Saturday night, starting off with a hit and run incident at the intersection of Andersen Drive and Irwin Street, causing a Honda Element SUV to overturn. The driver, thankfully, was unharmed and declined medical attention, according to San Rafael Police Department.

The police are making efforts at present to find the identity of the hit-and-run offender, whose vehicle was seen fleeing the accident scene almost immediately.

Simultaneously as the investigation into the first accident progressed, another one was reported on Montecillo Road. A Toyota sedan crashed into a row of parked cars after erratic driving. The driver, without a license and under the influence of alcohol, had a blood alcohol content that was two times the limit of 0.08%. Though unharmed, he was soon arrested for driving under the influence.
