Los Angeles witnessed a series of fires earlier today. According to the LAFD ALERT, a structural fire in Sherman Oaks stands as a significant concern, but is not an isolated incident.
At approximately 1:39 a.m., a one-story home on Nagle Avenue was engulfed in flames. As the LAFD ALERT detailed, 47 firefighters managed to control the fire in 23 minutes, which had overtaken the 1,409 square foot residence. No injuries were reported.
However, this sizeable fire was not the only one. There were several other smaller fires in the vicinity, consuming the rubbish, debris, and vegetation, before being rapidly controlled by the responsive LAFD units. Parallels are being drawn to previous fire incidents in the 13800 block of Ventura Boulevard. These numerous fires initiated an investigation by both LAFD and LAPD.
As the investigation is ongoing, numbers of fire incidents have not been formally released yet. It is also unclear if there is any connection to the earlier Ventura Boulevard incidents.
