
A hit-and-run accident in West Covina on August 28, resulted in the death of a 72-year-old resident. The West Covina Police Department (WCPD) actively searches for the perpetrator and requests assistance from the public.
After a 911 call alerted police to an injured pedestrian on Glendora Avenue, the initial investigation discovered the individual to have been struck by a fleeing vehicle. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased, resulting in a wave of sorrow throughout the West Covina community.
To assist in the investigation, the West Covina Police Department released edited video footage of the suspect vehicle on their social media pages. The suspect vehicle, suspected to be a white or resembling a silver SUV, now serves as the critical piece of the investigation.
